It's adorable and very, very smart...! It's funny to see and listen to this boy who at 9 seems to have such an old and knowledgeable soul... Do we lose this as we grow up and get tangled in our lives? Or is this boy really special? I wonder...

"In the 70's, Marina Abramovic lived an intense love story with Ulay. For 5 years, they lived in a van performing. When they felt their relationship was not worth it for both of them, they've decided to walk the Great Wall of China; each one started to walk on one side so they could meet in the middle for a last, profound embrace, never to see each other again.

23 years later, in 2010, when Marina was already a renowned artist, the MoMA New York dedicated a retrospective exhibition to her work. On that exhibit, Marina shared a minute of silence with each stranger who sat in front of her.

This is the most moving and noisy minute of silence I've ever seen... I'm still shaking and I confess there were a lot of tears! This is the kind of love and connection we should all try to achieve in life... although some relationships aren't meant to last forever, they carry the importance and weight of an eternity. This is a beautiful and inspiring moment.... Please watch it!

And watch this TED Conference by Elisabeth Gilbert, the author of the international best seller Eat Pray Love.

I didn't love the book, I confess, but I did LOVE listen to her speak at this conference.

She talks about the impossible things we expect from artists and about our creative genius and how artists seem to be doomed for life.

It's personal, funny and endearing and, as always, food for thought.

For me, more personal than ever, since here I am exposing myself to the world as a sort of writer...

Some moons ago, I decided I wanted to be a writer. And then I got acquainted with fashion and fashion magazines, a love affair began. So, in a very obvious way, I've decided the best thing for me would be to write about fashion. I would become a fashion journalist! My mother, a fashion lover and lunatic just like me, was inspired by the idea and found the perfect person to ask for advice. What should her little girl do if she wanted to become a fashion journalist  The question was received with great surprise and quickly answered with a name: Suzy Menkes. "If she wants to write about fashion, she should start by reading The fashion journalist." And so I did and became a fan of her sharp critic eye and very quickly separated her from the rest. She had her own category in my mind. While working in Paris, we've organized a show and Suzy was expected. I could't contain my excitement and asked for only one thing to my boss: if she had the chance, I would be honoured to meet Suzy, only for a second! Lucky for me, the universe found a way and my wish was fulfilled.  At the end of the show, my boss was able to introduce me to Suzy as her biggest fan; she shook my hand, smiling timidly, and continued her way with her pompadour firmly up. I was starstruck. 

I will remember this day forever because I met someone I really admire, one of my heroes really... One of the many things I love about my job, as I've told you here.
